Chinese New Year Day 1

The start of the day was like previous years, which was house visiting to my aunt’s place. Before that, we went to Burger King but changed our minds and visited the new MacDonald’s branch at Shenton Way instead. It was fantastically designed and I regretted not asking them to dine in instead.

We spent some time over my aunt’s house before going home. There was a gathering at Wilson’s place but I was waiting for my family to visit the River Ang Bao until quite late. After my younger brother reached home, we went off without my elder brother.

The event was hosted at the Floating platform where NDP had been conducted for the past two years. There was a big crowd at the entrance and we were quite turned off because the entire place was much smaller than the usual ones.

There was a stage where all the China people performed. Statue-like lanterns of the twelve animals were as per normal and there was an additional gigantic Chinese chess set. We left the platform very soon and walked around the small “Food Street”. Some of the stalls did not label price for the food, which was very cunning. We did not buy anything in the end.

It seemed that more than half of the patrons were China people. The only good thing about the place was that there were many sweet girls around.

Good Students, Wonderful Class

Just as I was trying to tidy up my work, Weitat called for me and I knew it was time for the graduation show for Willi. We went down to the lecture theatre together with Mingli who came down just to support the class.

There was some delay and the show eventually started with less than one third of the seats filled. They invited only some lecturers and thus, we were actually just part of the small lucky audience group.

It was never a regret to put aside my work even though both Weitat and I were not very keen to spend the time there.

There were cute edited pictures, dance, MTV, show, and even presentation for the actors and actresses. Although everything was not done with high standard, they managed to create great humours. The amount of time and efforts they had placed in was magnificent.

With such sporting, enthusiastic and lovely students, the class was probably one of the best ever, and no doubt these were the reasons Mingli loved them so much.

Both Weitat and I also managed to receive a present each from them despite the fact that we did not sit in their class before.

Mingfa's Birthday – Zoo, Orchard KTV, Newton

I started my previous Sunday unusually early. Knowing that it was a special day, I presumed nobody would be late and thus, I made an effort to be on time and even had the chance to top up my Ez-link card and also withdraw money.

Mingfa and Shirley picked Mingli up before coming over to Jurong East MRT to meet me. Then, we waited for Weitat before going to Mingen's place at Choa Chu Kang. Next, we proceeded to the Singapore Zoological Garden. I was not very interested in fact since I had been there two years ago with Fatty Si and there would not be many changes; I joined my gang mainly because I did not want to be a wet blanket.

Just as I thought we could get at least some staff discounts, Fatty Si told me she was not working there anymore but luckily Mingen had the privilege from his friend.

Poor Mingen was still having diarrhoea. We had brunch at KFC while waiting for Jingkun. For as much as I hesitated to bring a bag along due to the weight, my decision eventually proved me hopeless; a small pouch was actually sufficient and that it would not pose much problem to my feet. The sudden additional weight almost twisted my mood completely.

The sky was grey and I hesitated again, however, they decided to proceed. It started pouring heavily upon we passed the gate. Luckily, the weather pardoned us soon and that we were able to make our ways around the zoo in the merciful tiny raindrops.

We covered only slightly more than half of the trip I had with Peisi, missing out the most internal part at the pony area, the hot ass baboons, butterflies and bats, and some other animals. We missed all the shows and we were especially disgusted for we made it on time for the elephants show except that the crowd blocked our visions.

After the excursion, we went to Orchard for karaoke session. I took Jingkun's car at the front seat for the first time. Tiffany joined us at the Orchard's Party World but she and Mingen did not join us after the singing session.

The rest of us had dinner at Newton. I should have asked them to go to Chinatown instead. Anyway, the sugarcane juice from the drinks stall facing the car park totally sucked for it was simply tasteless, which was the worst sugarcane juice I had ever had. The lady helped us to replace the cups but there was not much difference.

After dinner, Jingkun sent me home.

KB BBQ at East Coast Park

I left work a little earlier than the rest to attend my class KB's barbecue gathering at East Coast Park.

The initial plan was to sleep through bus 196, which would definitely take longer than an hour. Before leaving the office, I was advised to take train and transit to bus instead. The entire information gathering progress killed more of my time and I could have just proceeded to my own plan in the first place.

I walked to Clementi MRT station and stood all the way to Eunos MRT station, almost fell down countless time when I dozed off. It was a torment, and also, a physical and mental test for me, which was unhealthy. After alighting, I made a waste trip to the bus-stop at the main road and finally decided to approach the translink counter. I took bus 13 and luckily, it stopped at the same bus-stop as bus 196. Nevertheless, it was a wrong decision made to not follow my original plan.

Walking towards the sea, I saw to my terror at the number of the nearest pit. A few of the guys were cycling and they called for me. They confirmed to me that the pit was a far distance away. I went straight to the MacDonald's to get changed into shorts before strolling all the way to find the rest of them. The wind was strong and cooling but I was too shagged to enjoy myself.

It was good to see the kids again, but however, sad to know that so many of them were smokers. I was well served with food and drinks. There was a little playing with camera but the batteries' lives quite irritated me. Chi Chiang arrived before eight. I got to realise Terrence was staying just opposite me but he left without me. In the end, Chi Chiang was pestering Edmund to exchange magic tricks and I got entertained. We stayed till after ten and left after most of them were gone.

Walking towards Parkway Parade was a good decision but the waiting for bus 196 was long.

Wee Wee Weiwen is an Adult

I was supposed to go to the beach on Sunday after missing from action for so many months, but I remembered promising Weiwen to attend his wedding dinner. My gang called off the plan somehow as well, probably because Weitat was in need of a new laptop and he was captivated by the IT fair at Suntec City.

Fook Min came over to fetch my brother and I but there was a change of plan and thus, we waited quite long by the road side. We went over to fetch Hubert at Henderson Road before speeding off towards Hilltop Garden Restaurant, Club CSC @ Bukit Batok (91 Bukit Batok West Avenue 2, Singapore 659206).

I was impressed by the place, especially at the swimming pool view where families gathered to enjoy the man-made paradise. The beautiful place reminded me of Jurong East Swimming Complex, though was not as well designed, but kept memories of friends and laughers.

Scenery

The pools areas seemed very happening...

Corridor of the dining hall

We were pretty lost in the early evening. Waiters and waitresses were preparing the tables, and we saw many young kids among the crews. All the unseen preparation work created a horror impact on me and I would never dream of being the central of attention in such occasion with such big hassle. In fact, it would never be my turn as I'm too weird and lousy a guy for any romance, and that I do not even have any career.

The stage

Meeting up with familiar but distant faces was a satisfaction. I even saw Wendy and Loraine and began chatting with them; and afterwards, I met Weirong before realising I was keeping his very outdated number. I did not know anyone within the table except for the two ladies, and thus, I felt very uncomfortable throughout the night.

The guests were very late and the dinner started at mid eight plus; this ugly Singaporeans' bad habit disgusted me. I supposed the lonely lift and the cramp car park path did not cause the problem but the very stubborn wrong mindset of Singaporeans who thought wedding dinner ought to start much later than the stated time.

I had a cup of brandy given by Reuben, which was the second time I drank this year, and guilt strike me badly. He tossed me and I emptied the entire cup into my stomach, and soon, my face was blushing.

Bernard and Weiwen

Time to merlion soon

Everything seemed to go smoothly. The dinner ended before eleven and all guests started to disperse in the midst of my daydream. The bridegroom was then pressed by his "brothers", including my elder brother, to drown himself in alcohol. The battle lasted for some time and they went to the toilet one by one.

My brother and I boarded Fook Min's car, whereas Hubert accompanied the new family. Fook Min proved me the F1 race could really be conducted in Singapore at night and it was a great experience. My brother started to throw up upon reaching the car park while we waited for the bridegroom's car to arrive to join in the party.

Fook Min dropped us downstairs our house where my brother continued partying while releasing the stinks.

It was already after one in the morning and I had missed my favourite "少年杨家将" show for the good sake.

Qinxin's Birthday Barbecue at West Coast Park

My girlfriend and I at Clementi

Last Friday, Mingli, Yicheng and I met up with Mingfa after work. We went to the Clementi Recreational Centre and both Mingli and I almost dozed off while watching the two guys playing billiard. We were supposed to play pool after the game but we went over to the bowling alley instead and then, decided to just give it a skip.

After drawing money at the ATM machine near the interchange, we waited very long for bus 175 to send us over to West Coast Park. It was my second lunch at the MacDonald’s even though we only intended to take some snacks at first. We walked over towards the left, facing the sea and reached the boring part of the park.

It was all for Mingfa's student's birthday barbecue. Mingfa started the fire together with Yicheng, whereas Mingli started to marinate the chicken wings. I was not helpful since I wanted to take photos and did not want to dirty my hands. Anyway, it was not very well planned with missing items and having Mingli to do the dirty job was obvious enough.

As the hostess' friends arrived, we were pretty irritated by the guys sitting by the side not doing anything. It was near seven when we took our leave and left them to survive on their own.

I crossed the road to take bus 176 towards Henderson Road, where I crossed the overhead bridge to wait for bus 145. The bus' engine died off whenever the driver stepped on the accelerator and I heard a couple times of the engine restart while another bus 145 passed by, telling me I should have stayed behind to indulge on the scenery instead; or rather, I regretted not alighting further down the road earlier so that I could climb up to the Henderson Waves instead. Anyway, the bus struggled and survived a few scary moments before the engine stopped the joke.

Singapore Mint Trip

I made my first visit to the Singapore Mint on Wednesday afternoon. It was a good opportunity given by Hasnah, Wee Lian, Kelvin and Faris. I supposed Chi Chiang had enjoyed the ultimate short trip like me together with the noisy kids.

Luminous coins

We were welcomed by two of the staffs, Eugeue and Melissa and the lady was quite cute. I was expecting to see very detailed stuffs but disappointments satisfied me instead. The tour was roughly around fifty metres long and the exhibition was mainly about the old and special versions of Singapore's coins.

Waiting to board the bus

We spent some time idling around because we realised the bus was already waiting for us.

Dragon Boat

Once again when I tried to take a little rest for my back lazily, I dozed off without setting the alarm clock. I had more sleep than usual then, but in exchange for a very rush morning to pack up.

There was no preparation work done and I hardly knew what was going to happen next. It was a fresh morning with lots of smiling faces. The travelling distance was far.

I got another shock of my life at the seaside; nobody had informed me to bring an extra pair of shoes and then we all moved into the water. My legs were soaked and drenched totally.

It was my first try on the dragon boat. It was definitely not as flexible as kayaking but the strength of the united power was enormous. A pity for the journey delayed that we could not go on longer and the short enjoyment was never enough.

After the short tanning session, I was left helpless with my wet shoes.

The Weirdest Mothers' Day

Every year, my family would go for dinner together on Mothers' Day. Since my mum's birthday was just a few weeks before Mothers' Day, we would normally focus more on her birthday instead.

This year, my brothers and I had spent large sum of money during my mum's birthday for the Hong Kong trip and therefore, Mothers' Day's celebration was somehow "forfeited".

On the day, my elder brother was still at cold war with my mum and my younger brother went for his friend's birthday celebration, leaving me alone with my mum. In order not to disappoint her, I accompanied her to Chinatown for dinner.

We had sting ray for dinner. Since the hawker told us we had to wait very long, I went around looking for finger food and got some Shui Guo, and durian flavour's Tang Yuan. Before we could finish everything, we ordered Rojak from the stall owner who passed by. Together with the sugarcane juice, my stomach was so bloated. It was a dinner well-spent; it was cheaper than a single person's bill at a normal restaurant.

We went to CK to shop around for a while and I finally got myself a sleeveless shirt. Things were cheap there but I supposed they were old. Since nothing else was to my liking, I chose not to waste my wardrobe's space.

Irritation When Organising an Outing Using SMS

Organiser:
Hey, are you free to join us tomorrow at blah blah…?

Someone:
Who going?

It is not the language that matters obviously. Put yourself in the scenario that you have to message more than forty people and you receive such similar reply, or rather, call it a question instead, what will you feel?

Probably you have not experienced it since most people do not spend such effort to organise big gathering, but please use some common sense to imagine it – how much extra work are you going to do?

There are three possible outcomes which are common after you list out the people who have agreed.

Organiser:
Got John, Patrick, Zinc and still waiting for replies. So are you going?

Someone:
1. “Okay lor. Count me in.”
2. “So few people? I confirm with you again k?”
3. “Hehe. ic. sorry i’m not free. have fun okay?”

Ideally, the first reply is the best. The second one implies two things – you are either a bastard who would not try your best to support an outing unless there are many of them going, or you are simply retarded that you think your SMS can only hold less than fifty characters that you cannot type in your answer as well in one shot. The last one shows that you are either a complete moron or just trying to add on to the burden of the organiser.

But overall, why can’t you just give a direct and honest answer at the beginning and I think it will be okay even if you say you are not free but you wish to know who are going.

Of course, those who do not even care to reply you at all should be just deleted from your phone’s contacts, or perhaps, rename them under “blacklist” like “blacklist: bastard” so that in future when they call or message you for help, you can ignore them immediately without having to waste time messaging them “who are you?”

Work and Bai Nian at Anqi’s House

[Sunday, 25 February, 2007]

I wake up in the morning in order to go for the viewing at early afternoon. It was the usual long way to Ang Mo Kio and I dragged on my feet when I was not feeling well. It was an unfortunate day indeed. I supposed I was the first agent who ever did not want to close a deal which I would make money.

I went straight to Buona Vista MRT and waited there for Meijun. Together, we walked to Ghim Moh to look for the rest and go up to Apple’s house. They started playing cards and I knew we would be late for the next appointment. We were supposed to meet the rest at 6.30pm at Queenstown MRT but they only planned to leave at the same time. I was quite nervous and kept looking into my watch for I did not like to be late. In the end, they only started packing up at 6.30pm and there were more things to drag about.

Weitat and I went downstairs to get some paper plates, spoons and forks. Mingen arrived with Tiffany and I was not sure what was wrong that Mingen seemed to be quite pissed off. Then I realised he was not joining us anymore.

Weitat, Apple and Meijun took a cab with me to Queenstown MRT. We were about half an hour late. Siewchin, Kok Chiang and Ruoci had already arrived, whereas Junrong had left to visit his friend meanwhile. Then, together we walked towards Anqi’s house. We met up with Mingfa and Wilson before going up together. They started playing cards but I did join in as usual. Suddenly Junrong called Weitat and since Weitat was not sure of the road, I was the best candidate to go to the bus-stop to fetch Junrong.

In fact, the gathering to me was quite a failure. Anqi was supposed to get her ex team-mates but none of them turned up. Whereas for my side, Mingli, Xinyi and Jinyang broke their promises last minute. Jinyang sent a message to the wrong number when he tried to explain to me that he was sick.

Kian Wee’s Advance Birthday Celebration

[Saturday, 26 November, 2006]

I was supposed to go down to Clementi ITE for volleyball again but since my left ankle was still giving me problems and that the friendly matches would start during evening, I decided not to waste my time or worsen my leg.

I met up with Gilbert after some webcam fun. Well, it was not that fun after all for only Gilbert had webcam and he preferred video conference so that we needed not even type anything. However, it was very lag and I could not start even any webcam with anyone else; if I were to use only the webcam mode I could play with many friends at the same time.

My dear MMI physiotherapy assistant, Kenneth, who had just migrated over to Seattle (USA) had webcam but his mum was using that computer attached with it. Whereas my selfish net buddy, Jacklyn, over Canada was having some private webcam chat with her boyfriend. Everyone should just get a webcam so that they could play with me anytime I wanted until I was bored of acting cute.

Gilbert and I were met up at Orchard MRT station and our plan to go over to Giordano at Takashimaya was foiled by the rain and the terminated of the underpass to Wisma Shopping Centre. My friend Gina had told me earlier on that they were giving out forty percent staff discount and she happened to be a manager in one of their branches. Since I could just message her for anything I wanted to get from any of their branches, Gilbert decided that we would go to Somerset instead for the temporary shelter to Takashimaya was bounced to be very squeezing at such weather.

We wasted the transport fee. Our destination was Centre Point Shopping Centre and eventually we had to cross over the road since the underpass was closed due to construction of new building opposite it.

Gilbert had little bite near the Cold Storage before we went to the Crocodile shop and spent quite long time there for Gilbert wanted to get some more formal wears with his forty percent discount given by his company. The salespersons were patient. He spent over a hundred bucks and earned a free membership (ten percent discount) for more than hundred bucks spent and an umbrella for more than hundred and twenty bucks spent.

After which, we went to the Bods shop downstairs for his twenty percent discount given by Pacific Internet for his birthday. He persuaded me successfully to get a nice top which I thought was sinful for I was still jobless and had quite a number of new clothes inside my chaotic wardrobe. He got himself a beach short and t-shirt before we went to the Cold Storage to get two bottles of mineral water and his hair wax. I was the first user and I finally learnt to use the wax inside the toilet by free lesson from instructor Gil but it was at the expense of so much wax.

Kian Hwee called and we hurried to Plaza Singapura as we were late already. Then, Gilbert told me Seah had flown us aeroplane once again but there was not much effect on me since I had given up on him already. So, we met up with Lim Kian Hwee and Peh Kian Wee finally and up we went to the Manhattan Fish Market restaurant for dinner.

Doctor Gil gave us another lesson afterwards for not queuing up with him, which made a mess out of the queue, for the staff in charge was actually quite retarded somehow. I order Fish and Chips as usual and Kian Wee wanted to empty our wallet with a large and expensive Manhattan flaming platter for two costing near thirty bucks which he could not finish.

We occupied the table for very long time in order to try to help the birthday boy to not waste food, for the fear that he would get retribution but he was really fated to be so sinful. His prawn looked so yummy but too bad I was not supposed to take prawn three months after my operation as warned by my mum. The source and reliability was unknown but I was really a scary cat and decided to obey the rule that prawn was “poisonous”. All the orders including my fish and chips were nice, as testified by Chef Gil.

We managed to stall enough time to just go to the toilet and then took a walk to Giordano shop in disappointment. We pretended to be wandering around aimless just like usual, and passed by The Cathay. Gilbert wanted to take a photo with the big Christmas tree but Kian Wee jeered at the idea and Gilbert gave up since it was in pink, which was quite weird.

Kian Hwee, Kian Wee, Gilberto

Kian Hwee and Kian Wee outside Hark Music Cafe while Gilberto behaving sneakily (not taken)

I tried to act ignorance by suggesting watching movie and later, going to the pub. As we approached our final destination, I was so worried that Kian Wee would start to suspect on our motives as Gilbert stopped at the shop house besides. I kept telling Peh that Gilbert was planning to go into one of the pubs until Gilbert led us in to Hark Music Café.

As Gilbert had moved so far inside, the staff did not realise we were together and asked if we had booked any seat. Since it was all surprise for Kian Wee, I did not reply and continued to walk in until Gilbert returned to signal that we were together. I was at a loss as well for I had not met Kian Wee’s friends before but a few girls were hiding their faces around a cake with lighted candles, which was quite obvious. Then, I saw Stephanie who was dolled up differently from usual and that was why it took me a few seconds to realise it was her.

Cameras’ flashes started to brighten up the place with Kian Wee’s surprised looks in delight. He was the star inside the café of sudden stares from all the people. With the smiles all over his face, he claimed he could not accept the surprise party was reality. Then, he regretted splurging our money on the dinner with the food wasted for we were paying for his whole night of fun.

Kian Wee received the invitation to take part in their singing contest.

The emcee is a babe!

As everything was settled down, I managed to decorate Kian Wee’s face with a piece of cake which I told him to pose for photo. His next surprise was the invitation to sing on the stage but too bad Gilbert chose the song “Forever Love” over “Piano”, which I believed Kian Wee could sing better. He was recommended by the emcees immediately to take part in their competition.

Forcing a kissing picture

and finally mouth to mouth

We were well entertained by the singers and emcees on the stage later. The price was not cheap for the compulsory two cups of drinks for around fifteen bucks. However, the drinks were better than those plain ones at the music café at Marina Square. There were around two and a half babes altogether including the female emcee and one girl who sang “后来” pretty well.

On the second trip to the toilet with Gilbert, we waited outside the only unisex cubical with shadows moving about. The queue became long overtime and later on, a male and female came out to arouse my stare and imagination. That couple almost busted my bladder.

The male emcee talked to Kian Wee a few times as he passed by as he was interested to get Kian Wee down for the competition. I thought the competition was stupid since the results were depended on the audience’s votes, which meant that whoever had the thick skin to get his friends down to waste the money would definitely win the competition.

I was quite disappointed that Kian Wee did not go up to the stage for a second song when the café was filled with people; it was meant to be his day and I supposed he could get a lot of admirers with his standard of singing.

We left the café after 1am and crossed the road over to the 7-11 store. Stephanie and Gilbert left with two of the girls with one of their chauffeurs. I was intending to walk home which was estimated to be two hours of walk but dropped the idea. I took the cab with the rest of them and in the end the cab driver had to make a U-turn back after sending me home, which I later thought, was a wrong move. The worst thing was that Kian Hwee who would reach home last did not want to collect any money from me.

[Saturday, 04 November, 2006]

I woke up as early as 7am since Vivi promised to come at that time. However, she came only after eight and took a walk around with her god brother, probably to look at girls.

Later on, they went off for breakfast at Downtown East and most of the sleeping beauties were already up. We waited quite long for Fredrick who camped inside the toilet and decided to stroll off first since he could just come out anytime and catch up with us; but we lost touch with him ever since.

We had breakfast inside MacDonald’s and the ceiling continued to drip water to create a cave-like atmosphere in the urbanised place. Then, Vivi joined us with her god brother and sister. Gilbert, Ivan, Edgar and Ah Boon left for a walk whereas I accompanied the rest of them back to chalet.

We played Daidee for some time until Ivan and the rest came back. Gilbert started decorating the front area and some of them helped out, and sweated so much.

In the afternoon, Ivan wanted to go for cycling whereas I wanted to swim. However, I had problems with deploying of drivers to collect all the barbecue food which kept my phone so busy that I did not go anywhere.

Vivi and Huiying left to swim and this time Vivi was in her bikini; she wore it before but had never removed the outer shirts. The temptation of joining them was huge but I could not just leave everything to fate and wait for someone with car to attend the barbecue early.

My elder brother was there early with his girlfriend, bringing 300 sticks of satays along. Then, they left with my younger brother and mum.

Later on, Sam Toh arrived with his girlfriend and since they were not staying for the barbecue, I could not abandon them and go for a swim. We had great chat and this time Sam was looking more cheerful than ever. Being too cheeky, I punished him with a titbits bath.

Gilbert and the rest returned from their cycle trip and more people arrived. Chua and Gilbert were waiting for me to swim but I could not leave the mess behind. Peace came when Jianhao kindly promised to help me get the fried rice and fishballs from my neighbour (obviously he had not met before) at Tanjong Pagar and Peh offered to get the chicken wings, meat and fried mee hoon from my mum’s friend who stayed nearby.

Finally it was five plus, Chua and Gilbert were still waiting for me for a swim, whereas, Vivi seemed to be among them. However, the barbecue had to begin soon and I could not leave everything to them; it was irresponsible to do that.

Then, Jialing arrived while the rest of the volleyballers were all late; I felt quite bad that I did not know how to entertain her. As more people arrived, I realised I could not go for a swim anymore; I was the host and was supposed to entertain them. I also had to neglect Vivi while entertaining all my friends even though she could just tag along with me wherever I went.

Into later evening, the announcement of the arrival of the cake came about a plot. Vivi led me to the car park area and she claimed that the cake was somehow smashed during the delivery process. She claimed that her friend’s mum had given more curry puffs to compensate for that. The story seemed real and I was too tired to find any amiss until I saw a big rectangular box under the makeup table.

With the lack of sleep for days and walking about to entertain my friends, the anger of friends messaging me so last minute that they were not coming anymore torn down my body.

It was a blessing that I had friends who helped me to barbecue and settle everything that I could be dragged around by Gilbert to take photos with my friends. I did not even have a few bites of my food even though I was having gastric pain since early evening.

It was also the first time I washed crab meat stick and removed the transparent cover for each of them; my brother’s girlfriend helped me for a while as well which surprised me. Then, suddenly my mum was injured by the fallen ice and I realised it was a wrong move to make so many of them. That was the reason why I had to call some nurses to the barbecue.

It took me so much effort to make Tiffany come, which increased the number of times I had to look into my phone and exercised my hands. Hong Kiat’s arrival reminded me that I had forgotten to invite many good friends from his previous camp’s department.

Suddenly, Junrong told me that Zhirong was asking about Mr. Ng and I realised he did not get the news of the funeral, which was so sad. I felt so stupid so that I had failed to inform him about it ever since we stopped keeping contacts.

My sister Jenrice brought along her sweet friend had mesmerized some guys; then they were kind of being irritated by a guy who I got it in the first guess and sadly they had to put up with him for my sake. Anyway, none of my friends believed Jenrice was my sister.

Cake cutting was supposed to be around 10pm as planned by the fun started at around 9pm. Vivi and a few others (I could not remember) were asking me to start it early as quite a number of people had to leave already. I did not print out the guest list and did not realise so many of my volleyball friends were still on their ways.

So, we started taking photos and I was already so worn off that I did not know who had hidden from taking photos with me. Then, my mum, said to be drunk, pushed Vivi and I together and we had to take a kissing photo for them.

They realised I was hungry and wanted me to have the first bite of the cake. So, Mingfa hid a candle into a portion of the cake and I was supposed to remove it without using hands. Although I was well prepared with my palms holding the table tight, I could not resist Tze Khit’s power.

There was a little cake war between all the guests and me. I could have bathed them nicely if my leg was perfectly alright but I still managed to hug some of them to thank them for coming.

As I was turn into breaking down with the exhaustion, Chua’s sudden recommendation to go into the water caught me unaware. Even though I was so small size, I managed to give some resistance except that my left leg was restricting me from refusing their kindness.

They removed my spectacle and mobile phone from my pockets but not my big red packet.

More warm hearted hugs were offered to the guests after that for my first bath of the day as they left groups by groups.

I was supposed to house some of them but they saw that the chalet was packed and they did not want to squeeze together in case anyone would fart with the higher possibility.

Ou Xiang and Kaelyn aka Pauline came quite late and I could not persuade them to stay; apparently Kaelyn was sweet that she rushed over after work at around 9.30pm.

There were so much food left over but it was better than having shortage of food; at least this was the first time I organised a party by myself and with some very good advisors.
