I started my New Year day on Thursday late since I slept late to do up some design work.
The long sleep eventually took me to an exciting dream of mysterious action scenes. It would definitely become a blockbuster if I could remember everything. It was not the first time I was inspired by my dreams but too bad that I was not a movie scriptwriter. I could write everything down as I remembered after waking up but my mind was more about my work and websites.
It has been quite long since I dream. I used to dream almost daily during my army days and it was a big twist after that. I have heard sayings that having dream during sleep is not good since our minds would be working hard during the sleep when they are supposed to be resting. However, does dreaming symbolize a more active mind, which is better than being a zombie?
I love dreaming of beautiful things because sometimes I dare not even daydream since good things usually do not happen in real life, at least, not in my life.
The first day of the year was a dull day. More effort was spent on packing up of my harddisk. I also copied my previous NP’s stuffs to the harddisk from the backup CD so that I could work on the flash game to recall my flash skill again.
I was supposed to make full use of the entire day but I woke up to be very restless. No matter how hard I tried to force myself to focus, my mind seemed to be numb. Despite taking naps, I could not help but to become a wasted man for the entire afternoon.
I signed up for an account for Wireless@SG but since there was no network at home, I could not try it on my phone.
My gang went to Jingkun’s girlfriend house for steamboat but I chose not to join in since I was quite sick of heaving steamboat. Moreover, it was at Bukit Batok, which was of a distance away. The worst thing was transportation at night for I did not want to make any of them drive me back after midnight specially from the West to Central of Singapore.
My decision to stay at home seemed to be correct as I got into the mood of working on Photoshop soon. I learned more skill as I progressed. Whenever I got bored, I had twenty minutes of counter-strike game.
While everyone was counting down for the new year, I was playing game.
The countdown began and we started playing sparkles but as usual, I was taping down the happy memory and thus did not join in the fun. It was too bad I did not become a commentator for my throat feeling unwell. They had some dangerous games like throwing the sparkles into the tree branches and everyone seemed to have enjoyed themselves greatly.
We continued with the game to finish up the fried rice but switched to playing of dice and drinking up. There was a refrain for myself from drinking but somehow I did not want to spoil the fun or perhaps, I was not in good mood.

Breaks during the Murderer game
Since Junrong was besides me and he had strongly forbidden himself from drinking, I took a glass of mixed alcohol in his place, which was very saturated. I realised I turn red soon for pouring it into my throat within a second. It got boring soon and we started playing Murderer. Some brilliants suggested going back to play inside the room and finally got everyone more comfortable. Eventually the air conditioner played a prank on us.
Twister affairs

Outing at Old Changi Hospital
The internal
Pharmacy?
It was as late as four plus in the morning, we decided to visit the Old Changi Hospital. It was my first visit to that place and I did not expect it to be so near to our terrace house. Since it was a tourist’s attraction, there was no fear with so many strangers around and we basically banged into another group every few steps we took. Some people had even lighted candles around. In the end, we walked down towards the old commando camp and finally back to the chalet.
Twister again
Huimin
Everyone was waiting for the bathrooms while I kept myself occupied with the show “The Ghost and the Darkness”. I was waiting for the ghost to appear but the extremely smart lions were taking his place instead. During commercial breaks, I went to the back to play with the cat. At first he was behaving well and stayed near the drain but at my next visit, he followed me into the house. I managed to fool him out of the house before Huimin ranted at me for the second time.
Hardworking Huimin
Khong Wee and Pamela late at night
After I finished bathing, Pamela was still chatting with Khong Wee while Huimin did her calculation for the money spent. Then, I realised the amount food was quite well planned, unlike my own chalet that I wasted so much food. In the end, Khong Wee, Pamela and I shared the queen size bed while Huimin went up to the girls’ room.
Leaving the place
Rabbit aka Joceyln on the bus
It was around 10am when I regained conscious. Since they had packed up most of the stuffs before going to bed, checking out went smoothly. We took bus 29 to Tampiness and had our breakfast at the food court before boarding the train.
It was the beginning of a new year, but I did not feel good somehow.
It rained heavily and my mum hadn't come home with my lunch at three in the afternoon. Things weren't going good. I was late for an hour; surprisingly Weitat was in the same train as me. I was the end whereas he was at the front. I tried to join him but the train was fully packed at the middle.
We joined the rest at Bedok's Giant and they were ready to set off. Mingen drove Tze Khit, Mingli, Xiaowei and Guoxin to Tze Khit's house while Mingfa, Meijun, Weitat and I went to go some food. We'd a hard time getting a cab just before a bus-stop near the MRT station where there was an illegal queue.
I'd rather take train over since it was only a stop away but they didn't want to walk. It was really expensive to take a cab during festival period and I'd trusted the driver too much that he hit his side mirror with another car's on the roadside.
I spent my time playing with Tze Khit's dog, Snoopy, as well as taking pictures around. Mingli, Xiaowei and Guoxin were busy preparing the food. The fire was quite well-started as the weather seemed to turn good for our celebration and for the first time I started barbecuing and the rest slowly joined in. Some of them were busy at the mahjong table all along.
After some time, the water-melon was cut and we'd to salute to Mingli for choosing the "beautiful" green water-melon. When the news of Anqi not coming over broke out, we took out the cake and had it donated to our stomach.
Ah Teck, Kok Chiang and his future girlfriend's arrival lightened up the spirit more. Most of us went into the living room to play game and the forfeit was to be shot by Tze Khit's air pistol. I managed to capture some photos and a video of Xiaowei panicking when she was the target; however, she deleted them cunningly. I was down-lucked thrice but the bullet didn't hit me.
It was all silence when Mingli mentioned about leaving with Xiaowei, Xinyi and Guoxin. She was such a noisy cockster who had created so much fun that the place turned quiet immediately upon their departure. I did another good deed before they left by taking a photo for them and Guoxin must have felt so blessed to stand besides Xiaowei.
Kok Chiang was forced to drink up some alcoholic drinks before sending his future girlfriend home. He was so weird that he didn't want to drink in front of her and she seemed to be a very nice girl, worrying about him and willing to help him drink up a bit.
Kok Chiang returned after that and he wasn't in a good condition that his cab passed by a few times but didn't stop. We'd to give him a call to inform him that he'd passed by before he managed to get back.
When I was dozing off with the boredom, Kailin came, but it wasn't enough to light up the place anymore. I dozed off, leaving Kok Chiang and Tze Khit drowning themselves in the merry of alcohol.
In the morning, Weitat, Mingfa, Meijun and Kailin left in Mingen's car. After that, Mingfa and Weitat messaged me and woke me up, telling me that they left without informing us so that we wouldn't be woke up.
Tze Khit's mum asked us to go upstairs to sleep, but Jingpeng decided to go home. So, both of us left the place without Kok Chiang and Ah Teck.
It was really fun to have such gathering and would be even greater if other members like Ah Bee, Wilson and Pauline were present too.
