I spent the early morning finishing up for the sCreative website. Then, I moved on to improve other websites. The morning was boring.
Work occupied me throughout the afternoon. I was able to push the latest design to live, which left me a more peaceful mind, except that lots of contents were required to be added.
Since both of my brothers were not in Singapore, I was quite pressured over where to bring my mum out for dinner. Tengy gave me good suggestions and I was very impressed with her knowledge of my neighbourhood, forgetting that she used to work around my place and Chinatown.
In the end, I brought my mum to Chinatown Point for Swenson since both of us could not order many dishes if we were going to have Chinese meal. The ambience was not nice because the place was too small. The banging onto the chair by the staffs and the loud market noise from the customers were annoying. We ordered a plate of fish and chips and breaded chicken to share. The waitress recommended us a $5 add-on for a drinks, soup and ice-cream to fill our stomachs completely.
We walked towards People’s Park Centre at the Swanston store to get cheap stuffs before going home. I wanted to help my mum to top up her Ez-link card since she was complaining that she had not done it for very long already, and suddenly she asked me to transfer some money into her bank account, and my hesitation to get a DSLR camera died.
I tried to find Josephine to look through my resume but she was too busy. Weitat, Mei Hoe, Dorothy and I had lunch at Swenson at IMM. I preferred the fish at Fish and Co more.
The highlight of the day was the dinner with David. I met him up at Clementi bus-stop, nearest to the MRT station. We went to the restaurant at the T-junction between Clementi Road and Ulu Pandang. We had very long chat and I learned many things from him once again.
It was a rare morning sleeping throughout the silence till after sunrise. Thursday morning, I woke up feeling tired still after the long rest since I did not catch enough sleep the days before. I went to visit the Chinese physician and got myself eight days of medicine before going to work.
Jingkun and I wanted to give Mei Hoe a belated birthday treat and thus we proceeded to IMM’s Swenson. Daniel joined in. We had great chats as usual.
I stayed inside the office until 7.30pm before proceeding down to the MPH for volleyball. Everyone seemed to play well. Somehow, my team had the upper hand. My legs were wrecked at my third game playing the centre position with other people. I was very amazed by my wrist power. Later part of the night was dull, but I made sure I did my duty defending given no other role.
We left at around 10pm. Kachua gave me a ride home. I realised I had sprained my index finger on the right hand and also over-exerted the wrist.
Last Friday, lunch was a big feast at Jurong Country Club, which was located besides the old PJC campus. The food was okay.
The night was even sinful at Holland Village’s Swenson. It was the department dinner. I was not there for the free food but the gatheringness; my examinations were just days away. They ordered ice-cream and shared and I only remembered throwing many junks into my stomach. After all, I had enjoyed another plate of fish and chips again.
I merely helped “xiao mei” to get a cup of warm water when she complained it was cold and probably some other things, and I was complimented of being sweet.
The bosses wanted to go for drinks but I was responsible enough for my studies that I wanted to go home early to rest. However, my buddies and I felt so guilty for not joining.
