Not many people would believe that I have a rather weak body. Taking too much “heaty” food would take me down, other than being very upset. I usually feel thirsty even though my water bottle is always near me.
I was down with sore throat, cough, flu, diarrhea, and probably some fever almost a month ago. I went to the TCM before all the pests arrived and the four days of good behaviour did not save me. Then, I had to force myself to visit the polyclinic because I was told that green phlegm meant that it was a virus infection. Green poo threatened me more.
I knew I could have recovered much earlier like usual but it was a different scenario this time. Within the first few days when the symptoms arrived, I was deeply upset over certain news that I had lost my determination to resist anything. It made me feel stuffy on my chest and I knew my conditions would be worsened.
It took me a few weeks to pull myself together after trying to accept reality. I was, however, very loaded with work that I could not have sufficient rest. Keeping myself occupied with work was quite a good way to numb myself anyway. Nevertheless, being in a bad shape had slowed down my work by a lot.
The dry cough after the phlegm was gone kept me companied throughout for at least a week more. I still went to the toilet twice or more times daily as a new routine, and there would be bad tummy-ache at least once.
It was until Thursday night, I felt healthy and managed to have a good volleyball game, followed by supper at McDonald’s with my elder brother and mum.
Battling against illness depends a lot on the mind and I know I should try to avoid recalling depressing stuffs.
My left thumb was sprained on last Saturday night. It was caused by receiving a ball using fingers on the volleyball court when I softened my fingers to place it a metre away for the setter. I did not trim my fingernails and had this phobia, which restricted my movements.
It had been more than a year since I last sprained any part of my body as I had not played volleyball for very long.
I hate it for causing pain whenever I trigger it. Even squeezing the toothpaste has been made difficult. It reminds me of the doctor warning my mum that losing the power on the thumb will cause disability to nearly 40% of the daily tasks.
I am actually quite used to the after-sprained feeling since my back has been hurting similarly for the past ten years. The hurt is definitely not as severe as heartache though.
Somehow, I have not forgotten about the hurt caused by my last ex-girlfriend more than two years ago. Every single lie, regardless of the seriousness, from any female friend just pours back the memories.
“Please don’t treat me too nice.”
I’m quite sensitive to the request from any female friend because it reminds me of my first relationship. It somehow makes girls guilty and the feeling is bad, which also makes them begin to admit their lies, whether big or small.
Sometimes I wish I have not been too sharp, which has also been scaring female friends away. I always remember what Baoyu has told me more than a year ago - most girls do not think logically. When I begin to be too frank with my observation, it often draws a line between us.
I’m not a smart person and thus I always do my best to make up for the shortcoming. However, I’m often powerless. Most of the time, I can only sit back and pray hard for them when they are in bad times.
Whenever a sweet friend whom I have been treating sincerely distances away suddenly, it hurts.
I stayed at Clementi ITE for three months to help my boss. Eventually, I left the place after spending more than a week to work on a farewell website. Soon, I received my degree certificate from University of Wollongong. I also went back to ITE to help Hirman for the orientation camp of the second time of the year.
I had my second last volleyball game of the year before quitting my job. Somehow, I was greatly disappointed over certain things. Thereafter, I rarely got to see my buddies.
I concentrated on my quit smoking website. After officially releasing the website, I was very glad with myself that I had made some contribution to the world and I thought I could die without any regrets after that.
Tze Khit moved his gym over to Tanjong Pagar. I was very happy to see a good friend whose career took off well. I spent a lot of time hanging out with him and updating his website for him. Those sessions were very stressful because he and his partner were giving me instructions by my side and there was no table to work on. Furthermore, I felt very uncomfortable charging a friend for my services. I got to meet many interesting friends at his gym. I went back to Clementi ITE for volleyball with Tze Khit for once, which was the final time I got to touch volleyball for the year.
As I was jobless, my bank account started draining especially when I continued to give my mum money every month without fail. My Sony Ericsson phone G705 died on me and I started using an old Nokia 3120. I began losing touch with my friends as the old phone could not read the entire SIM card’s memory. Since it was totally not user-friendly, I gave up sending greeting SMS to my friends during festivals. I was not broke but it made no sense to hurt my piggybank more when I was still jobless and thus I waited on for my phone plan to be over.
There was no progress in my relationship. I met two very nice girls but they were too busy to go out with me. They eventually got attached.
Towards the end of the year, I began working on a tuition agency website called Smart Tuition. It was after several bashing from friends that I should not be working on non-profitable websites when I was jobless. Mike saw some light in my working direction and began coaching me. We almost missed our first outing as I could not find his contact inside my temporary phone while he was holding onto my old number.
I finally made my first step into Choa Chu Kang ITE’s sports hall on Thursday. Both Jingkun and Tze Khit asked me down coincidentally for volleyball. Frankly speaking, I was itching for it since long ago.
The hall was fantastic. It was gigantic and could hold up to twelve badminton or four volleyball games at a time. It was the first week of the ITE holidays and thus I had less chance to see my ex colleagues and students. I managed to meet Ah Lei who was currently working in the CCK’s gym.
I was glad that I was not totally wasted after missing the game for more than a year. At least, my services were perfect and could somehow pose some threats to the opponents at the same time. I probably played calmer than usual and that covered up my lost skill. I knew I could do so much better in other areas while stamina posed a major issue as well.
If it was not for Tze Khit, travelling would be a major problem for me. We met up at the Tanjong Pagar market for dinner before we went down in his gym’s van. Along the way, he persuaded me to work for him permanently for his new web venture. He trusted me in my professional in web building. He also highlighted to me on my own business.
To me, it was useless to work for others and earning peanuts when I was a workaholic who would sink in totally. I would rather continue to push my tuition agency to a greater height while enjoying the freedom. Even though my business was not doing well at the moment, it had great room for improvement – I was very down-lucked in my online marketing progress. When Tze Khit pointed out that the time I had spent was too long, I could only sigh that I was handling too many things alone that I could not focus. If I had the time to treat my business as a sideline so that I could find a job, I would rather work on some blogs to earn through AdSense.
That night, thoughts went through my mind. For all I knew, I needed to expedite on the progress of the web development.
My new pages for my tuition agency website were up though the contents were not fully ready. Meanwhile, I had difficulty filling up my stomach with the dinner my mum cooked for I had roti prata with Kachua a couple of hours ago. I managed to get the website’s url up in Wikipedia before I went to bed at seven plus. It took me quite some time to doze off.
David gave me a call at 1pm to deliver to me the bad news that the viewing for the office had to be postponed to the next day.
I tried to work on the new website for the new project with my gym friends but my mind was all about the tuition site to stop me from making any progress. Anyway, the thought of the tedious design and programming work frustrated me because I knew with my lack of experience, it would take months to deliver the work.
I went to the gym at 7pm with my stressed mind. Andrew was training under Dan and he looked worse than me. However, I did not display my frustration and instead, I showed everyone the opposite side of my mood. I started playing the Xbox 360 Kinect and the volleyball game got me tired soon. Eventually, when I moved too near the gym bench, my toe was cut badly by the sharp edge. I lost quite a big amount of blood and Bobby was quite worried. He wanted to go upstairs to get me the “yellow medical oil” but I went up myself instead since he had two clients coming at the same time – one came late and another was earlier.
Before 8pm, Andrew was very worried. His stressful face did not recover even after sweating out. He told me to call Letian and Junze. Both of them were already on their way and were pretty on time. We were lucky that Bobby was around during our meeting again. He commented that we were not moving after so many sessions of meeting. We decided to take actions and I told them of my concern of the website. Andrew suggested to engage his partner’s service. I was happy that the problem could be solved as the professional definitely had much more experience, manpower and existing coding to establish the website probably more than ten times faster than an amateur doing one-man show. The meeting was eventually interrupted and before we realised, it was over and we started playing the volleyball game on Xbox.
I had gaming till 5pm and it was difficult to wake up even at 10am. I made it to Tiong Bahru before 12pm but shifu was late for quite long. She introduced me to her friend, Jeremy, and Jeremy’s student. They went separately for lunch while shifu explained to me about Jeremy’s websites.
After lunch, I went straight to Tze Khit’s gym. He told me of additional amendments for his websites and I started working on it. It was difficult to edit another person’s work and I had problems searching for the exact files.
While working, I was distracted by the noisy gym. Then, Jeremy started asking me questions and soon, Kachua called and visited the gym. Since I had my sports gear with me, I skipped doing gym and joined Kachua for volleyball instead.
We went to Clementi ITE and I was quite surprised to see many ex colleagues’ cars around. We went to IMM since the hall was empty and I grabbed a Mc chicken burger.
Upon returning to the hall, we heard about story of Mingfa’ student fell and was injured by the hook of the volleyball pole near the private part. Everyone was disgusted. Mingfa was not around and I accompanied coach to chat. I joined in only at the third game and could see myself rust like as if I was a newbie. I was strengthless, or rather, having phobia with my hurting left should and foot. I even missed two serving, which was crappy.
Luckily, Weitat asked me over to the side to warm-up and I got more used to controlling the ball – usually, we had too many people playing with a ball by the side and I would not want to join in. However, the hurt on my left shoulder was too unbearable each time when I exerted it.
I played as setter in my third and last game, and turned the table around after being thrashed in the previous games without Mingfa.
After the game, we went for supper near NUS, next to the prata shop.
I went down to Tze Khit’s gym and he started teaching me how to work out my upper body. To me, I was satisfied with my current size even though many people were saying that I looked underweight, and therefore, I was not very keen in it. However, Tze Khit showed excellent professionalism even though we were such good friends and thus, I was serious during the training as well.
After working out, we went to the Tanjong Pagar food centre for dinner. I did not realise I could finish the entire plate of duck rice when I was already bloated with the very late lunch. Then, I took his van to ITE Clementi. Throughout the day since I woke up, I was flooded with the hesitant to go down.
It was good to see familiar faces inside the MPH. I did not expect one of the cute year one girls to join floorball and thus I got to see her after their briefing.
My presence was nothing new but I felt weird still. The grouping did me good though I did not have many chances to perform. In fact, I could not even lift my hands straight up after the gym and my entire body was weak.
It was sweet to receive goodnight SMS!
After the late game, I took Tze Khit’s van again and together with Kachua, Andy, Wilson, Ah Teck, Kok Chiang and his girlfriend, we left for Newton Circle. I was shocked after my first inspection on the inner stalls for most of them were selling seafood. I did not find any western food stall and I ended up buying a plate of chicken rice from the only stall. I was stunned by myself once again for I could finish up the entire big plate of food.
I finally got to dine together with my Shi Fu, Josephine. We went to IMM’s Fish and Co and she gave me very good guidance on my resume while waiting for the food. The meal was on me since she last treated me at New York New York the previous time at Jurong Point. I supposed we hit off well because both of us were very direct-to-point people.
The gathering of the MTRCs was never a smooth job; it was the last task I would be helping my boss with. I spent the afternoon updating my resume.
It was perhaps, one of the greatest mistakes I made, to join in the volleyball game at night. I knew there would not be many chances that I would play so often in future and thus, I gave up the dinner date with Irwin and Eugene.
The pain on my left shoulder was deadly. Even receiving a light ball would cause me cold sweat and I gave up soon knowing that the condition had worsened and that I would not be able to do well in the game.
Perhaps, the bad feeling was already back and the game was never as joyful as the previous week.
I started the morning with phobia from the previous day. I reached Bukit Batok at my normal timing but Andrew was even earlier to set up everything, however, the headphones were misconnected again. He walked away before the lesson and needless to say, I had to do everything by myself. He returned and left earlier than he mentioned. I felt stupid for someone being sent over to conduct the workshop was just in name, and I had to handle everything by myself, just like the times I was alone. I did not want to blow anything up since it was already my last struggle. Letting down expectation was a comfortable solution and I managed to enjoy myself especially with some of the cute people.
After returning to office with the bulky projector, I quickly went to find Kelvin to sign it in. Next, I had lunch with Cheng Hong in the canteen. We talked about the student counsellors and I was glad that the three ideal students I had in mind after observing throughout the previous orientation camp were all seated into the team.
I had a mixed feeling somehow towards the ending of my contract. My boss and colleagues knew well how bored I was towards staying after more than two years of toleration. My eyes were as tired as the past few days and I could not do much things in the office. I tried to drink more water before my health condition worsened.
I met up with Mingfa at the MPH in the evening. The rest of them arrived slowly for the volleyball game. I did not feel confident at all because of both my shoulders. The thought of the possible dislocation reminded me not to wildly challenge my limit again. The irritation of the pain for these two weeks did worsen my temper.
Volleyball was great without any “black face” around. I did both well and bad at times in my pain but did enjoy myself a lot. Kachua sent me home after that.
I started off my morning with the mosquito bites, waking up earlier than usual.
My dread started again. Early in the morning, I set up everything at Bukit Batok while Weitat was back in Clementi to monitor his students’ examination. It was a good morning somehow since the teachers from Hillgrove who brought their students over were doing their jobs extremely well. I had an enjoyable morning crapping around with the well mannered students.
We went to IMM to meet up with Mei Hoe, Dorothy and Magdalene for lunch at Red Ginger.
In the afternoon, I went to set up two courts for badminton but initially only Joy came down, followed by Mr Baey who had forgotten to bring his short. I had a long warming up with Joy before Mei Hoe arrived to play doubles. Joy left before Deon came in to continue the game. In the end, Mei Hoe stayed behind to accompany me since I had to wait for the volleyball game. We met Daniel on our way to the office to keep my racket and he joined us at the MPH.
Mingfa bought my dinner over. The small packet of chicken rice fitted perfectly into my stomach and the chocolate milkshake from Sweet Talk was another sweet thing Mingfa bought over for me. I forgot to return him the money. Finally, I got to chat with him while waiting for pretty girls to pass by at the canteen but we were both disappointed.
The volleyball game was nice in my struggle with my injured left shoulder. The joint gave me pain whenever I received or set the ball. Nevertheless, it was a good night. Weitat came down to the campus to join us after the game and he sent me home.
EIP sucked big time even though in the afternoon, I promised boss to continue to help him until end of the month. Eunice did not manage to witness the angrier tone of mine. I did not “give face” to the Jurong Ville teacher because I needed to do my job. I should have prayed to my dad when I was offering him the joss stick the day before.
Magdalene drove over to Bukit Batok to fetch Eunice and I for lunch together at the “duck place”.
I was quite furious after receiving an email that more work had to be done for a few ugly students. Dorothy stopped me from replying to the email with all the true facts. It was yet another solid proof that the place did not suit any righteous and stubborn people.
The late afternoon saw me struggle with some consolidation of meaningful feedbacks for the SYOG trainings in my sleepy mood. I hesitated over my decision to stay on because nobody knew the agreement between boss and I so that I would decide to offer my limited assistance to disrupt my own plan.
In the evening, as usual, I had to start setting up the net since the rest reached much later. The opponents were not half as good as what I had thought. They were certainly strong in their heights. The game started off bad for me. An arrogant fool who loved to display his doubtful knowledge about the game simply did not realise that the players at the back court should cover the front court teammates when receiving a serve, especially when the ball dropped in between them. I was very turned off at first but situations got better when positions were somehow favourable to me in the way that my left and right teammates were much more mature players. I started to do well until the last few games, the aching and injury from the badminton and volleyball games on Tuesday turned into numbness.
Kachua brought his girlfriend along and since my mum had cooked, I did not follow them to Sembawang for ultra late dinner. He dropped me at the MRT where I took the train home by myself.
If you want something, don’t simply sit down and grumble; take actions or else you can never get it, unless you are lucky.
On Tuesday, I packed extra clothes to bring along to the office. Mei Hoe almost ruined my day by telling me she needed to go home earlier because of her daughter again. Then, she started saying we had odd number of players for badminton and thus she wanted to call it off. She was the one who often mentioned about playing and yet she wanted to give it up, including my efforts, just for her grown up daughter. My threat and insistence worked in the end.
We had lunch together in the canteen for the second day. When Jingkun mentioned about his contract, I was quite stunned over how some fools could do meaningless and yet inhuman things by “wearing extra undergarment inside their pants”. I could do nothing and thus I did not join in the conversation; moreover, they seemed to be discussing it among themselves.
I had brought my camera along but Teo Jun Ci denied taking photos with me, finding excuses to go back on her words. She owed me hundred photos together, inclusive of one which she had to pose ugly.
I started off the badminton game with Bernard, and Andy who was invited at the same day itself. Mei Hoe arrived and followed by Dorothy and Willi, Vincent and their classmate. Zaki kept his promise to join us. All of us had very great fun. The last survivors were Mei Hoe, Dorothy, Zaki and me. We had a tournament of women against boys. During the second set, I made a dive to save a point but there was not enough friction to stop the kinetic energy, whereby my lower right shoulder hit the badminton pole. I tried to stand up fast, keeping my cool, so that they would not be alarmed over my pain. Zaki and I lost that set. However, I amazed myself to exert my strength and gave very good fight in the end to win the fourth and fifth sets with Zaki.
Throughout the entire game, I was very distracted. At first, it was for the waiting of the arrival of all the players; followed by numerous babes coming to the campus for registration of part-time courses.
I stayed behind for volleyball. Setting up the poles and net was the most hateful thing everyone detested. I had to do it since I was there early. I would not have minded if most of them were not trying hard to excuse themselves from doing it most of the times. The net was a bit lower than usual since there were women going for the game. My entire body was aching, especially the injured part and my hands, but my hyperactiveness impressed myself once again. The MPH was crowded and we had to rest for quite long before playing each set of game.
Mingfa sent me to Clementi MRT station and I felt too lucky to have a few babes taking the same train as me. I was a fortunate guy for the day.
Thursday morning, I dragged on my feet to Bukit Batok again. My eyes were tired in the morning rush and when I reached Jurong East, I was stunned by a hot girl showing off more than half of her chest who stood two metres face to face from me by the side of the doors. I was too sleepy to enjoy the great sight. She alighted at the next station with me but I overtook her soon.
The morning’s work was draining. Magdalene sent me back to campus after that for lunch together with Joy, Eunice and Adrian in the canteen.
I had my early dinner with two sandwiches and iced milo. The office was stuffy after the air-conditioners were switched off and I stayed at the lobby outside the administration office for volleyball.
I set up the net almost all by myself. There was a weird guy who watched me do the job and until I finished exerting my wrist, he came over to offer help. The strings at the top were tied and tangled, and when I was trying to remove the small knot to ease everything, he stupidly suggested unwinding the metal bar, which was the toughest job – it showed that he did not set up the pole before. Later, he tried to ask me to warm up with him, I faked deaf. I realised my judgement was good as I asked around to realise he was a proud and lousy player.
Jinyang came down to join us. We had quite good game mixing around even though my team lost most of the games. I did better than usual despite having lack of sleep.
The rest of them were going off for supper but I chose to leave with Kachua since he would be passing by my house and I was lack of sleep.
It was time to say goodbye to the days of playing pool, table tennis and table soccer for free. After moving to another building, seven of us were stuck in a small room with poor reception.
I needed much more privacy in order to do my planning for my future and also, new websites.
I was lucky except for the travelling part. The gentleman offered to send us out but he was a workaholic who stayed behind for an extra half an hour. I would not have minded if it was a normal day, but I intended to go back to my office to feel the air before the start of the volleyball game – I could not make it on time.
The games were awesome in the absence of someone. After sleeping in different positions over the past few days, my right arm was numbed and thus, injured, such that I could not really perform. We played till late and I had my dinner just before midnight with Kachua at the prata shop near my house.
I started off my Thursday morning with the usual work’s arrow but I managed to shield myself with the lesson at Bukit Batok. There was, however, an issue with my battle against time since I could not do anything else while replying all the SMSes. I could have set off earlier so as to reduce the suffering on my feet.
The morning was a torment at times though some of the students were quite cute. It was draining but I managed to endure the entire session with Magdalene.
We went for lunch at the “duck place” at Clementi and were lucky to bang into Zaki, Eunice and Joy. I enjoyed their company a lot. I had a plate of chicken rice.
The afternoon saw the stirring of my brain juice, racking my brain so hard to think of some of the points for Afni to take note upon her return during my reservist weeks to handle the workshop. My heart was unease since I had been doing almost all the jobs for my partners for the entire week and there were certainly things that were too frequent to let them take note of.
I spent the rest of the time to settle the PowerPoint slides for Alvin before doing my personal things. I grabbed two sandwiches and a “mai gai”, together with a cup of tea from the canteen auntie, keeping my stomach filled before the volleyball game in the evening. In fact, I was trying to keep myself awake by eating.
I managed to debug a serious issue in the quit smoking website, followed by some smaller errors that I had made. Before I went down for volleyball, I remembered I had not filled up my timesheet and that began some minutes of tough work for my hand.
I went down for volleyball at around 7.30pm. Mr Peh was warming-up alone and I was quite shocked over the timeliness of the rest. When uncle Jiaming arrived, I started setting up the equipments with him. Someone else took care the net and poles.
The game started all good for me. I scored points in both spiking and servicing the ball. However, situations started changing as I did not get any single chance to spike. The worst problem was to play on the same side with arrogant person who was not fit to play the game in term of attitude. A lousy player who tried to push blames to others, and screaming at own teammates, was a shame to his years of volleyball experience. Given his height, Mingfa and I would have joined the national team. It seemed like everyone had given up trying to correct him, helpless to stop him from living in his own world of fantasy.
I was very badly affected. The sad fact of volleyball game flashed throughout the night, though not obvious to everyone. Due to height problem, having proven the worthiness was useless. The opponents were probably smiling within themselves for the loss of a threat. I went into the court for my last game unwillingly and my performance showed everything. As Jingkun was leaving, I joined him and he dropped me near Jurong East MRT station.
It was a rare morning sleeping throughout the silence till after sunrise. Thursday morning, I woke up feeling tired still after the long rest since I did not catch enough sleep the days before. I went to visit the Chinese physician and got myself eight days of medicine before going to work.
Jingkun and I wanted to give Mei Hoe a belated birthday treat and thus we proceeded to IMM’s Swenson. Daniel joined in. We had great chats as usual.
I stayed inside the office until 7.30pm before proceeding down to the MPH for volleyball. Everyone seemed to play well. Somehow, my team had the upper hand. My legs were wrecked at my third game playing the centre position with other people. I was very amazed by my wrist power. Later part of the night was dull, but I made sure I did my duty defending given no other role.
We left at around 10pm. Kachua gave me a ride home. I realised I had sprained my index finger on the right hand and also over-exerted the wrist.
Tuesday evening, I stayed in the office until quite late to attend volleyball, not very confirm whether it was on or not since Jingkun and Weitat were not going down and I was too lazy to ask Mingfa. It turned out that only Mingfa, Kok Chiang and Wilson from my side went down. I was more than happy to play with uncle Jiaming and we basically imported a player for each game. I was too sick to do much. We left quite early.
Wednesday morning, I went to visit the Chinese physician again for my cough, flu and sore throat. I had lunch together with Jingkun and Daniel and I was quite stunned when they mentioned going to Mr Prata shop but I did not want to foil their plan. It was quite a tiring afternoon staying inside the administration office. I was very impressed by Mr Baey’s enthusiasm and performance, volunteering himself extra hours to contribute his talent. I stayed a little bit later to check out what Hirman might need but there was too little I could help.
Last week, I felt very hungry in the office and thus I almost emptied my drawer’s food. I was already not feeling very well; in fact, my health was never in perfect condition since the end of last year.
My lower rib started aching over nothing since last Saturday and it could never be due to the relaxing volleyball game.
The heat increased and eventually I could feel the sore in my throat by Sunday night. The cough was bad and flu started conquering me. I was restless.
I could not allow myself to take medical leave due to work commitments. I had to force myself to recover even at the expense of not taking my medicine for the stomach problem.
Yesterday, I had lunch together with Mei Hoe and Dorothy. I felt the stress at the beginning of the journey for their usual non-stop conversation. We had lunch at IMM foodcourt since my throat was not feeling well. The chicken rice I ordered was very disappointing.
After getting back to office, I left the campus again with Alvin Chan and the two students from QB, Alvin and Rachel. Luckily for them, I would not feel so bored. It was, however, a waste of trip down to Zhenghua Secondary since 98% of all their students could at least make it to polytechnic and thus, most of them were not interested in my beautifully designed brochure. The saddest thing was still about the folding of the brochures by the printing company.
I was surprised to hear the announcement of volleyball training. That was my greatest regret of the day for not asking Wilson earlier so that I could bring my gears along to join them. Alvin Chan sent the three of us to Choa Chu Kang MRT station.
Saturday morning, I went to Bukit Merah Secondary School for volleyball. Zijun invited me a night before but he only told me the start time on the morning itself and hence I was late for very long. I was quite disappointed that only Haolun turned up and I had to play with others, who were quite immature. I was strolling around in the court. Anyway, I was not used at all and timing sucked totally. In the end, I waited for quit long for Zijun to finish his training and briefing to the students. It ended up that his girlfriend was already waiting at the car park and I could not get to chat much with him.
After reaching home and taking my bath, I went downstairs to meet my mum and younger brother for late lunch. We went to NTUC supermarket for a while before I packed up to go Bugis to meet up with Irwin. We had discussion at TCC before we walked around, played pool and dined at the food centre nearby. Then, we walked to Quay Clarke to continue our chats until midnight.
