I went to bed at 2am and woke up at 7am for my haircut. The auntie had some conversation with me after the haircut as she advised me to speak up more.
I went home to take my shower and rest before leaving my house for MediaCorp. I reached at around 11.30am and went to the Annex building to do re-profiling. It started raining heavily and I went over to the wardrobe department. After opening the windows, there were three or four staffs inside and all of them were looking at me. I did not know which one was intending to entertain me and thus I stared in blank for some moment feeling very lost. The guy started reprimanding me for not following their instructions stick on the windows even though I was going there to show them my own clothes and not borrowing any clothe from them. It was merely out of professionalism that I bothered to do it and I did not expect them to be so rude. I assumed they had undergone some stress earlier on but it was definitely not right to take it on others. Due to this incident, I would reconsider over the future project.
I waited outside the makeup room with my laptop for the first time not wasting my time waiting over there. Since I did not borrow any clothe from MediaCorp, I could have left the filming place straight away without going back. I sent Huiying, the AP of the show, an SMS and she called me back to tell me not to return the MediaCorp pass because she did not want the bus driver to pick up everyone at different places. It was purely bullshit because every part-time actor had been doing that and there was no issue to return the pass and wait right at the gate which was less than twenty metres away from the stairs where the bus would be picking up everyone; there was no detouring to be made and all the veteran mini-bus drivers were definitely used to it.
The bus sent us all the way to Toa Payoh Central. The rain delayed everyone and we were waiting for so long. Since the filming crews were ready to shoot any time and there was no place to sit, I did not use my laptop. I spent the time chatting with the part-timers. It was probably due to the delay that things did not go totally like the script. We almost thought we would not be involved until we were called to become super redundant in the background running after the “robber”.
The bus sent some of the crews to Yio Chu Kang before heading back to MediaCorp. However, one of them forgot to bring a prop out and we made a U-turn, which further delayed the time. By the time we got back to MediaCorp, it was around 6pm. I was famished and took dinner there with two other guys including Timothy. After that, Timothy and I went to the same bus-stop and I took bus 167 home. Along the journey, I took out my laptop and continued with my work. I was not sure if it was due to the tiredness or shaky journey that my head started to spin. I reached home after 8pm and dozed off with the headache.
It was a totally disastrous day and I regretted badly to take up the filming assignment. I would rather help someone to maintain the website and I would earn eight times more the money. Apart from the money, it was really a bad experience. It was probably why fewer people wanted to go back to MediaCorp.
Eileen messaged me in MSN to solve her Microsoft Word issue and thus I did not go to bed early as planned. My giddiness worsened and I went to bed at 3.30am eventually.
Mike woke me up a few times with his SMSes and I finally got up after 1pm. It was low productive day for me at home in my illness. I spent the most efficient time on photo editing. I heated up the “tang yuan” from the fridge as my late lunch.
I started working in the late afternoon and rewarded myself with a meal from Burger King near 8pm. A few minutes after I started eating, Lucky had finished his dinner and emptied his waste in the kitchen for me to clear.
After the movie on channel 5, Transporter 3, ended, I brought Lucky down for a walk before I started blogging.
My health had been depleting for the past few days ever since Sunday morning. The bloated stomach invited flu along on Tuesday night and I almost could not make it for work the next morning.
Taking panadol caused me bad cough and I could not doze off with the irritant on my throat. I was not sure if I was allergy to panadol because it was not the first time it happened. The giddiness in the morning almost tripped me over on the way to Bukit Batok.
I was surprised that I could still conduct the workshop in my condition. It was a terrible morning to struggle on for my weak body wanted to collapse so many times while I put on a strong front.
Lunch was at Clementi’s coffee near the NTUC. The chicken cutlet was a letdown. I was not sure if I was too giddy or Weitat heard wrongly, otherwise, I would have enjoyed the chicken chop instead. A gay bee ruined my entire cup of lime juice by kissing the tip of the cup and also sucking off the juice.
I was always sleepy but the flu worsened my condition that my eyes could hardly stay open in the afternoon.
Magdalene gave me a lift to school and thus I reached SIM very early. I took a seat at one of the study tables and two quite good looking girls shared the table with me, and even sitting on the same side, right besides me. There were many babes passing by as well.
Another Sunday was spent meeting up for project discussion. Life of working and studying at the same time was dreadful.
After having a bowl of green bean soup in the morning, my stomach was bloated throughout that I had to packet my packet rice out of the house. My lunch was taken after 4pm during the meeting.
At night, I started feeling more like pregnant. The discomfort on my stomach was indescribable and I felt a bit giddy. I lost my appetite.
I continued my Tuesday with the giddiness. Artificial tears did not seem to help much.
I knew well study and work all days would simply make me dull and weak. I went for the second badminton session of the entire year and had great fun. They all simply loved my entertainment for them by flying all over the court even though I certainly had no skill in the game. With bruises and blue-black, I felt quite satisfied.
Mingfa’s kids came over. Sean questioned me,”Have you lost interest in volleyball?” I was to speechless to explain my situation. To think it was funny, I played badminton one more time than I played volleyball this year.
Meihoe’s urging to make me join them for dinner set me on a wrong path. We were taking rather long time to get to the place, which was actually near Bukit Gombak MRT. It was late by the time I got home and the worst thing was that I did not even know who foot the bill, to set me in guilt.
I was drunk with lots of herbal tea and other drinks to replenish my energy and hydrate myself. Alas, the sweating and toileting worked by Saturday, when I was left with only giddiness and my body temperature stayed at around 37 degree. It was unusual though, for my usual temperature would not exceed 36.6 degree.
The worst thing was that my mum forbade me from bathing in case I would be caught by flu again.
However, another problem had yet to be solved – my tired eyes. A stunning recall of the past, for as long as two years ago, the same problems aroused. I remembered the doctor told me my eyes were infected and I was given two types of eye drops. This time round, the doctor probably thought I was tired due to the flu.
My Saturday was spent updating of blogs and gaming.
The day started miserably for I was doing poster design instead of going to sleep early. There were stress placed by colleagues even though I could push the load away since I had already told them I was extremely busy with other stuffs and my studies.
I went to sleep after three AM to wake up after eight and quickly washed up for work. I met my problem child female on train and had a nice teasing of her before we boarded bus for two pathetic stops.
The day was quite special since O level results were going to be released at two PM and my posters were going to be distributed. Lessons and duties were affected and I had to cover up duties for Alvin in the afternoon. Before lunch, I saw Aaron talking to Jonathan, he seemed to be doing his usual pinpointing on the poster, and I was stressed up even more for I knew well I had not done my best but that was a last minute work.
I was already stressed up enough for all the design works and my studies but the afternoon drove me to a more desperate end. The sudden bomb set me up with giddiness and brain block.
I set off to school earlier than ever at around five thirty PM but bus 52 kept me waiting while most of the other bus numbers had arrived twice. I met Pui Kuan before the bus arrived. I first approached #2-22 to collect my student pass and they did not have my record even though my pass was already done and thus I stayed quite some time over there.
After calling Venus to check her results and that she finally picked up her phone, I went to the canteen alone for dinner. I had a plate of fish and chips and the hot serving torched my tongue. The fish was crispy outside, which I was neutral about it, but the fresh was soft and quite well done. $3.50 was dirt cheap compared to outside.
I entered the lecture theatre earlier than usual and sat there to rest but it was too short to doze off. The lecturer came in to start speaking without microphone. It was difficult for me to catch his accent and I went blank at some of his words. The lecture was too lengthy at first and I started to wander off soon even though my eyes were fighting hard to look at the slides.
I felt terrible for not understanding the lecture at all and I knew the worst cause of the night was due to the stress earlier on during working hours with all the rush work and last minute disorganisation.
I managed to catch bus 75 after pacing with my shoelace dropping off, in exchange of girls-watching at the bus-stop where many babes were around. Even though I got to catch more than fifteen minutes of the Yi Zhi Mei show, it was not as enjoyable as usual with the mild headache.
It was a torture to wake up early. Last Friday, the worst thing almost happened as George suddenly told me he would not be joining me again. I was not sure if everything was planned by the boss to put both of us to work together but it was obvious that I was not very prepared. Luckily he came in after some time to settle things.
Back to the office, I began on my work and aimed to finish off the task by end of the day but my kindness played a prank on me by sending groups of people to halt my plan. My two hours were almost totally perished in the battle against denying of free service to others.
I became frustrated yet helpless. It seemed that everyone was trying their very best to take me for granted; and selfishly they thought they would only take up a little of my time each. The worst thing was when strangers did the same thing and I seriously did not need the fame for extending my responsibility.
Why did people not finish up their own work earlier and start extorting time from others in the last minute? I was being criticized as over-pampering.
While waiting for Jingkun to return for lunch, I took a break inside the toilet just to avoid being found. I was the most pathetic person inside the office and nobody could see my spinning head. Alas, I was told that my face was really pale and I was not surprised.
I was quite relieved once we got out of the gate in Jingkun’s car towards Jurong East. It was supposed to be an enjoyable lunch though I was pressing my heavy head on the back of the seat due to the giddiness, until I received a call from an unknown number. It was from Weiming and he told me to help him out in the afternoon and the last minute task shortened our lunchtime.
The chicken rice tasted fine.
In the afternoon, instead of working on the task I split with George, I was inside one of the computer labs again. Cheng Hong was there all the while and Weiming came in frequently to check the situation.
After the miserable two hours, I was surprised that Jingkun was still around and since he was leaving and that the transferring of files to my thumbdrive failed somehow, I decided not to bring any work home. Jingkun sent me to Jurong East MRT before dropping Daniel at Bukit Batok MRT.
My plan for the day was ruined for the supposed to be completed task was not even one percent accomplished, and I was not sure when arrows would start pointing at me again.
