I do not wish to compare lives between similar salary holders. Some people are probably lucky but the most important is to be clear conscience and do what we are paid for.
At times, it can be quite tough when four people are sharing a desk. I’m given an old lousy laptop which will probably slow down my work and I do not really want to use it. Basically, there is no privacy or a space to work peacefully.
Anyway, the given project is a new module for NCT. It is the “first three months” course for ‘N’ level students who are entitled to go straight to Higher Nitec. I’m in charge of the Mathematics part.
The seven units are:
1. Arithmetic Calculations Apply the use of the 4 operations, estimation, integer and laws of indices in arithmetic calculations.
2. Ratio and Proportion Apply the principles of ratios and proportions to compute the required data for business transactions
3. Percentages and Discounts Convert values to percentages and vice versa.
4. Mark-up and Margin Compute the profit and loss of business transactions
5. Simple and Compound Interests Compute simple and compound interests payable or receivable in business transactions
6. Statistical Calculations Organise raw data into logical form and perform simple statistical calculations.
7. Statistical Charts and Diagrams Draw statistical charts and diagrams based on given data.

It has been weeks since I started searching for an ideal domain name for my new “quit smoking” website. Many thanks to everyone who has helped in giving suggestions, especially people who took initiatives to approach me.
It has been a slow but good learning experience. The feature of the site is almost ready except for security problems which I have more to touch on. However, I really need the domain name to start focusing on some of the contents and design, which is killing my brain cells; I’m spending great efforts and I want it to be good.
I expect myself to be indulging in facts-finding in near future when the domain name is up.
This is a project to learn and practise on my database and SEO skill, but the main focus will be on helping smokers to quit smoking, through facts and communication within the site. It should not be my own but everyone’s project since everyone probably has at least a friend or relative who smokes.

I’m looking for this umbrella from Espirit. It is identical to this one inside the picture, except that the one I’m looking for has a curve handle (this one is a straight one). I pulled through the night with my work together with the lack of sleep. Despite sleeping at around 4am, Kelly called me at 9.30am because the Bedok flat’s keys were with me and the valuer was going down at around 10.30am. I dared not go back to the bed to rest and sat on the chair to nod my head until around 10am. Kelly’s timing was perfectly nice.
After that I continued with my sleep but there were some phone enquiries of the flats and also some instructions from Kelly about the business with Uncle Sam. I went down at around 2pm to talk to him. Then, I went to find him again at around 3pm to meet up with another agent called David.

We went up to the walk-up and all of them were patting at least a little except me. At first, nobody opened the door and I was quite lost and embarrassed. After a few minutes, a bangala finally opened the door. It was a mess inside and even the tiles were cracked. The living condition should be okay without the bad smell.

I spent the rest of the day on my website. It was around 8.30pm when Kelly called and asked if I wanted to bring my potential client, Cui Wei, down Ang Mo Kio to view a flat for rental. My mum finally arrived with my dinner but I rushed off without eating. Other than waiting at the MRT station, I was either walking very briskly or running. I finally reached there on time after getting out of the maze – the government had built the flats in weird shapes.
Kelly was at a higher ground facing the flat. There was a private driving instructor, Steven, teaching his student how to park the car. I was in sweat and had the second shock of the day when Kelly announced that the owner of the flat had not arrived. Cui Wei was late and then she called me that she was lost. Kelly and I went over to find her and then we discussed a lot about what her requirements.
In the end, Kelly went to Toa Payoh to find the owner while I took the same path as the two China ladies to the MRT station. It was a terribly tiring and disappointing day.

In less than twenty-four hours’ time, my mum and elder brother would be leaving for Genting, whereas my younger brother is in camp. I will be enjoying my freedom in the house and do whatever I like.
However, the main task is to pack up my house since I no longer need to worry if anyone will just walk around to hinder me, neither I like being questioned for taking such initiative while I am doing the work. This is far too good a rare chance.
The big problems I will be facing are my work which is not very standard, and also my back problem which will activate soon after a short while of bending to pack anything; lastly, I have to settle for my own meals.

There are many kinds of people in this world, and sadly, those weird ones do appear in the internet.
In this article I would focus on those shameless ones. Some people for whatever reasons, can resort to stealing pictures from others and claim to be the owners. This is common but I will condemn it if it is for more than a joke.
Can you imagine someone stalking you over the internet and stealing all pictures from your blog or even Friendster account, and set up a Friendster account using the stolen pictures? This is very common for those ugly bitches to gain online friends; but if that person uses your name and nickname as well, and even starts a second account probably due to overwhelming friend requests, it is scarce. And what if that person even sets the account to private, perhaps, does not want you to view the profile, how would you feel?
This is the case for my volleyball friend, Jesselyn Lim Jialing, also known as Jesuke, the cosplay lover. The impostor indicates at the fake accounts that she is from Japan, which is so pathetic. Many fools would of course believe the impostor because of Jialing’s hobby as a cosplayer, which she takes many pictures of herself in those animates’ dresses.
I seriously cannot figure out why that person can go into such depth. If that person is a girl, she can of course make many male friends because Jialing is a babe, but however, she probably can only remain net friends with those poor guys; if that person is a guy, obviously he is a gay.
We cannot deny the access of crooks to the internet, nor can we totally stop their evil doings, but at least we can hinder their progress. Of course, due to the lack of practise, I had almost forgotten about how to even do a simple form using HTML. With some distractions from the television and help seekers, I took very long time to do it.
From yesterday afternoon till today’s very early morning, I had been trying my best to finish it. With some JavaScript form validation, I finally started into the actual PHP. Help from the second hand PHP book was very appreciated.

The current computer I am using is an old one which my elder brother fixed it up years ago with a few old computers. As the PCI to USB card was spoilt, he did not fix any for me.
So, I am perhaps one of the weirdoes who use a computer without a USB port. I am not able to connect to any printer, scanner, camera and worst of all, webcam.
I had asked Ah Boon to dig #1-14 for the card but he could not find any; we used to have so many unwanted CPUs there with all the cards ready to be thrown away but I did not notice that the CPU I was using was missing that.
I passed by the Cantonment Complex at the opposite shophouses and saw a CPU lying down there. It seemed to be abandoned by that shop’s owner, still looking fine though I only needed the PCI to USB card.
I continued on my journey home, thinking I would just go back at later hours. I discussed about it with Edgar, who urged me to go back immediately to take it. I told him that was a remote place especially at night and probably no one would take it. However, I was really excited about it and with Edgar’s persuasion, I decided to go back immediately.
Unfortunately, in half an hour’s time, the CPU was gone.
I can get the PCI to USB card at less than fifty bucks. It is not a good idea since I should not be wasting anymore money and that it is not worth the price; I could have just go for a new CPU instead since mine is so fragile with all the loose parts.
The main point, however, is not about money. The card is quite redundant and so many CPUs are thrown away everyday and we should really recycle; unless I need a USB2 port.
Someone with an old and unwanted computer, please give it to me!
I always believe in sharing good things but not at the risk of them getting into the dirty hands of black sheep in the internet.
The photographs taken during outings or events are fondable memories of everyone’s life and thus I have to share them with friends who are involved. I do not upload the link to retrieve the zipped files directly at my website or Friendster bulletin in order to safeguard the privacy of the participants.
Please always message me to get the photos a couple of days later if you have gone for the outing because I cannot remember clearly who I have distributed them to; I might take a few days to upload the photos and rename them neatly.
Another point to take note of is that since I will upload the whole album together for all the participants, please do not circulate photos of other people to other friends; you will not wish your own photo to land in other people’s hands.
Anyway, if you do not want your own photos to land in other websites after you upload to Friendster or your blog, you are advised to add water benchmark (copyright text) to each photo before uploading it. There are too many black sheep in the internet world where faces are not shown.
